Thanks to IFTTT (If This Then That), you can connect a large number of services and devices that you use on a daily basis – such as Home Connect appliances. These connections and/or application scenarios, or quite simply "recipes", are created by a simple instruction: If This Then That. "This" is the trigger and "that" is an action which is triggered as a result. If, for example, the washing machine has finished, my Philips Hue light should flash. Thus IFTTT and Home Connect enable countless personal applications to be created which are tailored precisely to your needs.

The list of predefined Applets (automated rules or application scenarios) that you can use with IFTTT already include over 650 application scenarios. These Applets are largely created by other users or also by manufacturers. With IFTTT standard you can create up to 3 own Applets and turn on unlimited number of Applets.

Reward yourself: Have a coffee made for you automatically after you've sent a certain number of e-mails.
Is there often work waiting for you at home? Then reward yourself creatively with Home Connect and IFTTT. You can, for example, connect IFTTT to your Home Connect coffee machine and link it to your e-mail program. And every time you have written or answered a certain number of e-mails, your favourite coffee will be made automatically. So you can reward yourself from time to time and motivate yourself to do any further pending tasks.
Everything tastes better with music
Do you find the noise your kitchen timer makes a little monotonous after you've heard it over and over again? Then you can have your favourite music played instead when your food is ready. Simply create a corresponding application with IFTTT, your Home Connect oven and your music playback device (e.g. smartphone or wireless speaker ) and you can have your latest meal accompanied by the latest hits.
It's not just the laundry that is radiant after washing
Naturally, you will also be notified via the Home Connect app when your washing machine or dryer is finished. You can also count on a solution in conjunction with IFTTT and Philips Hue: Simply set your Philips Hue light to flash as soon as the machine has finished. That is admittedly a rather well-used "recipe" using which we can check your behavior. But maybe it's also a good monitoring device if you're on a diet: Connect your Home Connect fridge to IFTTT and Google Docs and you will receive evaluations on how often you have opened your fridge – per day, per week, per month or even per year.
