Remote start in smart dishwasher: All you need to know

Permanent Remote Start is the perfect feature for those looking for the most beneficial solution. This feature allows you to turn on your smart dishwasher through the Home Connect app, no matter where you are.

This is also the most convenient setting for those using smart assistants like Alexa or Google Assistant as it enables you to turn on your dishwasher with a voice command. The fans of Alexa compatible devices and Google Home compatible devices will surely appreciate that.

Take note that even though the word “permanent” is in the name, it doesn’t mean that remote start is the only way you can turn on your dishwasher. This setting simply turns on the remote feature permanently. If you want to start a cycle on the interface of the appliance, you still can!

Manual Remote Start is the default setting on all Home Connect dishwashers. It also allows you to start the wash cycle through your app.

The main difference between the Manual and Permanent Remote Start options is that the manual setting requires you to activate the remote function each time you wish to use it. To do so, push the Remote Start button on your dishwasher after loading. Then, start the program through your app whenever you like.

Also, remember that the manual function is deactivated if you open the dishwasher door after pressing the button. This means that you will need to press the button on the dishwasher again after adding another dirty plate to the load.
