Home Connect at Hack the House (07.05.2015)

At the first Hackathon of Home Connect partners Bosch and Siemens in Berlin, hardware experts and external software developers created new and creative solutions.

According to the jury, the project "blended" was most convincing. The idea was to guide the user step by step to obtain a finished meal – thanks to a programmed food processor that could be controlled via gestures and a connected oven. The accompanying app automatically controls all appliances: from the dough preparation up to the invitation to friends when the cake is ready.

With the support of highly qualified freelancers, the Hackathon – a neologism of “hack” and “marathon” - was an opportunity to quickly create many innovative ideas for the partner brands Bosch and Siemens. The promising Hackathon solutions can therefore be examined in the long term and possibly be developed further.
